So, for our beginner, let’s take a look at the things that might be helpful to getting you started. First, take a look at the character you have chosen. What are it’s racial benefits? Is it like a dwarf and can survey stone faster? So maybe you should mine and blacksmith for your income, or if you’re a gnome, why not give engineering a try? It’s best to have an armored character if you’re just starting, such as a warrior or paladin (Death Knights require a Level 60 character). Now that you have your character and a profession in mind, go ahead and start playing. Once you get to a large city, talk to a guard to find the trainer for your chosen profession. Other players are a good resource too. Quests are by far the fastest way to level up, and raids and dungeons provide the best quality armor. Another thing to keep in mind, is that by joining a guild you receive the benefits and perks from that guild such as faster leveling and higher reputation gains, also the other members are far more likely to help you. The armor is all color coded. In order from worst to best it goes: grey, white, green, blue, then purple. The rarer the item, the better it will be and the stronger your character will be.
