Beware of Hackers!

Beware of hackers, I just spent the last few hours fighting with one. What they will do is send you an email pretending to be Blizzard. Then, if you don’t fall for that, they’ll hack your email and file for a password change. My password was changed over 10 times before the problem was sorted out. The best way is to create a new email and to change the email registered on the account. If you change both your email and your password (and make it more complicated) then you can foil their evil plans..

Quest AddOn Errors

Occasionally

I decided to make a Dwarf paladin last night. While I was questing I noticed that, in a few quests, neither my questhelper addOn or the WoW map and help were at all helpful. They said that the person or thing I was looking for was somewhere completely different from where it actually was, or more often, it was just off out of the search radius. Finally I decided to look it up, which is one of the intended purposes of this site. I found my solution click here

Check your Version

A Frustrating Error

I felt like an idiot the other day, when I was downloading the WoW free trial to get started again. Be sure that you are downloading the correct version for your region. If you do as I did and say, download the European version by mistake, it will not let you play. I had to call costumer support to resolve the issue, hopefully this will help you and prevent you from making my mistake.

Terrain

Since, I have only just started to play WoW again, I don’t know the extent of the changes, but the land has changed a lot in the area’s I have been. Giant holes and elite elementals that you can’t hope to defeat without a little help. Many of the old quests are still there, they’ve just been modified to go with the cataclysm theme that WoW has now adopted.

Cataclysm

The newest of the WoW expansion packs has brought with it two new races. For the Alliance, we have the Worgens. Worgens are were wolfs that are attempting to reestablish a hold on their humanity. For the horde, we have the Goblins. Goblins, were once neutral, their greedy nature made them trade with both side, and because of this, the lost their ties to the Alliance and rejoined the Horde.

Private servers

Private servers are a version of WoW that is free. It is usually run by a private group of individuals and I’m sure in some cases, just an individual. Private servers are not created by Blizzard, although some are “blizz like”. This just means that they are as close to the original WoW as possible. Now, obviously, Blizzard frowns upon this, and they make it as difficult as possible to do, and for you mac users that do, I sympathize with you. You are brave indeed.
